Quality Service Company, LLC has electricians in Florence, SC. We repair and upgrade electrical systems for homes across the Pee Dee.

New equipment, like a heat pump or an EV charger, adds load to your panel. Your electrician will check whether the panel has room, then explain what it needs.

Why call Quality Service Company for electrical work?

HVAC, plumbing, electrical and generators. One company, one number. If a new heat pump or water heater needs a new circuit, the same company handles both.

Common questions

How do I know I need a panel upgrade?

You may need a panel upgrade if breakers trip often or the panel is full. Lights that flicker when a big appliance starts are another sign. So is adding major equipment to a home under 150 amps. Your electrician will check the load and tell you what the panel can take.

Can you install a charger for any EV?

We install Level 2 home chargers once your panel and circuit check out. Ask us to look at your EV’s charger, the circuit and the panel before you buy equipment. If the panel is short on room, your electrician will explain what it needs.

Do you handle small jobs?

Yes, Quality Service Company electricians handle small jobs, like a dead outlet or a new ceiling fan. We also do switches, lighting and troubleshooting.

Does an older Pee Dee home need a panel check?

Census estimates (ACS 2020-2024, 5-year) show how many homes in the towns we serve were built before 1980:

  • City of Florence: 46.7%
  • Darlington: 68.7%, with a median year built of 1967
  • Hartsville: 51.5%
  • Timmonsville: 56.9%

Before adding a heat pump or an EV charger to an older home, have the panel checked. Your electrician looks at the panel first. It decides what else you can add.

Florence County recorded 47 flood events from 1950 to 2020, per the SC State Climatology Office. In September 2018, the Pee Dee River near Florence crested at 61.01 feet.

After a flood, have your panel and outlets checked. NEMA says breakers, fuses, outlets and surge protectors that got wet should be replaced. FEMA says never connect a portable generator directly to your home’s wiring. Storm and outage prep
