Quality Service Company, LLC is an authorized Samsung dealer for ductless mini-splits. We install and service Samsung systems in Florence, SC and across the Pee Dee.
A mini-split heats and cools a room without ductwork. An outdoor unit connects to one or more indoor units through a small line set. Each room gets its own temperature.
Your tech checks the room, the wall and your electrical panel, then recommends a model and quotes the job before any work starts.
Which Samsung mini-splits do we install?
- WindFree Standard wall units. Sizes from 9,000 to 24,000 Btu for a single room. ENERGY STAR lists these pairings at 20.0 to 25.0 SEER2. Samsung rates them to heat in outdoor temperatures down to −5°F.
- WindFree mini cassette and floor console. Paired with Samsung’s Premium outdoor unit. The cassette sits in the ceiling, and the console sits low on the wall. Both pairings are ENERGY STAR cold-climate certified.
- Free Joint Multi. One outdoor unit serving more than one room, each with its own indoor unit and its own setting.
Your tech will match the system to the room’s size, sun and use, and to how many rooms you want to cover.
What is WindFree cooling?
Most air conditioners cool by blowing cold air across the room. In WindFree mode, a Samsung unit keeps the room cool with very slow air, under 0.15 meters per second by Samsung’s measure. You get the cooling without a cold draft on your bed or your desk.
Samsung systems also work with the SmartThings app on a home network, so you can change the temperature from your phone.
Why does a mini-split fit a Pee Dee home?
- Long, hot summers. Florence Regional Airport averages 70.2 days a year at 90 degrees or higher (NOAA 1991–2020 normals).
- Heating and cooling in balance. Florence needs about as much heating as cooling in a normal year. A mini-split is a heat pump, so one system covers both.
- A few hard nights. Florence averages 3.2 nights a year at 20 degrees or lower, and saw 8 degrees on February 2, 2026. Samsung’s cold-climate pairings are certified for nights like that.
What does a Samsung mini-split install include?
- Your tech measures the room and finds where it gains and loses heat.
- Your tech checks the electrical panel and the circuit the system will need.
- We mount the indoor unit, set the outdoor unit and connect them.
- Your tech shows you the remote and the SmartThings app.

Common questions about Samsung mini-splits

Yes. Samsung rates WindFree Standard units to heat down to −5°F outside. The Premium cassette and console pairings are ENERGY STAR cold-climate certified. Your tech will size the system for the coldest nights you care about.
Can I control it from my phone?
Yes. Samsung mini-splits work with the SmartThings app when the system is connected to your home network.
Can one outdoor unit serve several rooms?
Yes, with Samsung’s Free Joint Multi system. Each room gets its own indoor unit and its own setting. Your tech will tell you how many rooms one outdoor unit can carry for your layout.
What does SEER2 mean?
SEER2 is the federal rating for how efficiently a system cools over a season. A higher number uses less electricity for the same cooling. Read more in what a SEER2 rating means.
